Appalachian State has now closed The Appalachian House
in Washington, DC. Please see update below:
UPDATE:
The Board of Trustees of the Endowment Fund have approved
the permanent closing and sale of the Appalachian House in Washington
DC. It
is undetermined at this time if the university will pursue another property
in the DC area.
The Board regrets having to make this decision, but zoning
restrictions in the District of Columbia preclude ASU
from continuing to operate this facility as a hostel.
